Unleash your inner car builder and construct a Lotus 2-Eleven.

The moment Areg Balayan saw a Lotus 2-Eleven with his body removed, he immediately had the idea of wanting to own one of his own. However, you can’t really buy 2-Elevens in the US, and you certainly can’t drive it on the street either. However, Lotus Elise … that’s another story. Can you see where this goes?

Areg decided to start there, buying a new 2005 with 45,000 miles on the 2015 odometer and quickly starting to decay, starting with the clamshell body and continuing up to the engine. While swapping out the Honda engine, Areg also dropped some parts like the traction kit, brakes, wheels, interior and pretty much everything else.

As he went, he said, “I realized what a small team that designed and built Elise was like, and I try to recreate and redesign the parts they felt they had to cut back due to budget or time constraints. “.

This is a very good plan if you ask me, and although it seems odd, the end result is brilliantly executed. Oh, and it’s all carbon fiber, I hope.

The carbon body is a 211-wide body from JG Racing, in addition to being covered with a long-lasting transparent mat paint. At the same time, a paint protection film was added around the wheel rims as it will be driven on the street.

Exciting styling is emphasized by the JG Racing splitter and tensioner, balanced by a massive carbon fiber APR Performance GT-250 spoiler at the rear. The rear also uses a Difflow diffuser that has 5 elements to add suction to the airport.
The taillights, headlights, mirrors, and fuel tank have all been modified, and you’ll notice – like the factory 2-Eleven – there are no doors at all.

It looks interesting when placed on the street, and I love that Areg actually uses the car properly, if only rarely.
The Cockpit has been updated with Technocraft T3 carbon-upholstered baby seats attached to the original sliding doors and Areg’s FMV Industries logo has been knitted onto the seat backs. You’ll also notice this symbol is added to the Sparco handlebars.

Below, the InoKinetic shifter has been added and linked to the Enhanced Lotus electronic tuning shifter.

The VSA Motorsports 2-Eleven wheel bars have been coated to match the engine valve stem and under the top layer, things continue to be interesting.

The Toyota engine was scrapped and replaced by a K24A2 engine from a 2005 Acura TSX. Turbocharger Rotrex and Garrett were tuned to match the US octane 91 and E85, making 440 hp/325 lb-ft and 570 respectively. hp/392 lb-ft, respectively. The Honda PRC/RSX ECU is running the Hondata K-Pro management system, while other updated hardware includes a Hybrid Racing oil line, 1,150cc Gram injector, K20 water and oil pump, and a metal sprocket. FMV and Burns Industry’s silencer two stainless steel surfaces.

Cooling is handled up front by a three-way Pro-Alloy radiator equipped with two 9-inch fans using FMV Industries racks.

Power is sent to the wheels using a six-speed NSN4 gearbox upgraded from the RSX Type S. Before being fitted to the frame, a longer TSX sixth gear tire was fitted along with a set of end axles. there are 4,764 teeth: first. Competitive Clutch’s lightweight sprocket weighs just 8.8 lbs, and an aluminum meter loader from the company of the same name is also used.
The traction set is handled by a Nitron Pro traction set combined with a set of InoKinetic single bolts, while in time the control sliders and many other accessories have been updated. After completing the project, Areg added nearly 2,000 miles and kept the same vehicle registration as the original. Areg has participated in car and coffee events and has been seen walking the streets on weekends, when he is not busy with work at SpaceX. However, his job choices have booked. Big problem with your idea. After the photo shoot, Areg began preparing for a nationwide trip to work. The storage options at his new destination and in California, where in-house accommodation is quite expensive, made him rethink his next move with the car. In the end, he decided to sell it and you can find it on the Wear an early trailer. Hopefully it will have more on the streets of the United States and on the field with the next owner.
