Many people thought that rapper Drake was “so playful†that he suspended his Ferrari LaFerrari supercar in the air for the performance, but that’s not the truth.
In August of this year, rapper Drake went on a tour called Aubrey and the Three Amigos Tour. This tour started in the state of Kansas, USA, with a performance that couldn’t have been more impressive.

When rapper Drake was performing the song Yes Indeed with rapper Lil Baby, the audience exclaimed in surprise because they saw a Ferrari LaFerrari supercar floating in the air, right above their heads. This supercar is yellow and identical to rapper Drake’s Ferrari LaFerrari.
At first, many people thought that the American rapper was so “playful†that he suspended his million-dollar supercar in the air for the performance. However, it turns out that’s not the case.

Recently, a Business Insider reporter decided to discover the truth behind the Ferrari LaFerrari floating in the air at rapper Drake’s concert. Business Insider reporters interviewed employees of TAIT, the company that specializes in providing equipment for live events and is responsible for setting up the stage for Drake’s tour.
According to this company employee, the car floating in the air is actually just a copy of the Ferrari LaFerrari that Drake owns. This yellow Ferrari LaFerrari supercar belongs to the 2015 version and has an average price of about 3.5 million USD. It is known that rapper Drake’s supercar wears a rare Giallo Modena yellow exterior “outfitâ€.
This is also one of exactly 500 Ferrari LaFerrari units shipped worldwide. Therefore, it is no wonder that Drake often shows off images of this supercar on social networks, in music videos and even on his tours.
Mr. Willo Perron, the tour’s creative director, ordered a replica of the Ferrari LaFerrari to be built in Spain with an amazingly realistic design. Although it looks like a real car, this replica Ferrari LaFerrari is actually just a giant “balloonâ€.

To let the “balloon†float above the audience’s heads, Drake’s support team enlisted the help of Gear Factor, a company specializing in “flying solutions†for live events. Gear Factor made the Ferrari LaFerrari “flying balloon†move like a drone. Backstage technicians controlled the movement of the Ferrari LaFerrari via remote control.

Meanwhile, ensuring that this special “balloon†can last for 3 months of the tour is assigned to TAIT company. Because this “balloon†is an expensive and easily damaged performance item, TAIT company worked with the manufacturer and designed it so that this Ferrari LaFerrari is a bit smaller than the “real thingâ€. By doing so, the TAIT company can store the replica Ferrari LaFerrari in a heavy-duty cart and prevent the car from being damaged.

Not only does it increase the impression, the fact that the Ferrari LaFerrari floats close to the audience’s heads makes everyone feel like a part of the performance even though they are sitting far from the stage. TAIT company staff affirmed that the design of the performance helps the audience feel like no matter where they stand, they still have a good view and feel like they are very close to the stage.

In addition to Ferrari LaFerrari, rapper Drake also owns other expensive cars such as Mercedes-Benz G-Class, Maybach 62S Landaulet, Rolls-Royce Wraith, Lamborghini Aventador, McLaren 675LT, Ferrari F12 Berlinetta or Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren.
